PNP deploys additional 2,000 police on election

            The Philippine National Police (PNP) will deploy another 2,000 police this coming May 9 election.
            The additional police will be deployed all over the country especially on the election hotspot and will reinforce the areas with little police presence.
                        The parts of the police force will be sent to the nine provinces tagged as “areas of concern”: Abra, Nueva Ecija, Lanao del Sur, Pangasinan, Masbate, Basilan, Lanao del Norte, Western Samar, Negros Oriental and Maguindanao. 
“This reserve force of ours will be used to maintain the conduct of peaceful elections and the PNP will make sure that this coming elections will be a fair game,” said Director Jonathan Miano, PNP Operations chief and deputy commander of Task Force SAFE (Secure and Fair Elections).
            In total, there will be 10, 000 police officers to deploy this coming May election.
